Summary

The concept of the processes of becoming aware as an activity is developed in the paper. An attempt is made to build the operational and content structure of this process. Patients with frontal lobe lesions were observed. It was found that the symptoms observed enable experimental separation of the operational and content structure of becoming aware. The functional role of the frontal lobes in the process of becoming aware is discussed.
