Summary

Methodical and methodological aspects of the study of unconscious processes occurring in sleep are discussed. Possible polygraphical and behavioural manifestations of unconscious processes in night sleep are described. The pecularities of mental activity in different stages of sleep, and the factors influencing the course and retention of these processes by the individual are analyzed. The problem of interrelation of electrophysiological indices, vegetative changes and mental activity in sleep is discussed.
